Intro
Sport Systems is proud to offer Hide-A-Bench™, an innovative, space saving, patented foldaway spectator bench for facilities that are constrained by perimeter space.
More Seating, Less Space
The bench is unique in that it will permanently attach to most flat surfaces, while extending less than six inches when in the fold up position. The two tier units require less than 38 inches of floor space when fully extended, while the single tiers take less than 15 inches. Benches are available in on or two rows, from 3’ to 21’ in three foot intervals, with custom sizes also available.
Simple Design
The bench shall fold downward from its attachment points and lock into an open
position via scissor hinges attached to the legs of the lower plank. The benches will permanently attach to most flat surfaces by way of any anchoring mechanism that suits the wall material type. The support legs are pre -drilled with 3/8 inch holes and run the length of the leg. Most installations will require four bolts per leg.
Spectator Load
Seating is designed to support a live load of 120 pounds per square foot on
seat and deck, with a horizontal sway force of 24 pounds per square foot as
calculated by a registered engineer.

Powder Coating
Powder coating is a dry finishing process, using finely ground particles of pigment and resin that are generally electrostatically charged and sprayed onto electrically grounded parts. The charged powder particles adhere to the parts and are held there until melted and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven. Before coating, the parts to be coated are first pretreated similarly to conventional liquid coated parts. The pretreatment process is normally conducted in series with the coating and curing operations. The finished process gives you a superior gloss and color retention that will last for years.

Padded Seat Covers
Our protective padded cover will offer you the convenience of a padded cover as well as an integrated seat cushion. The cover will remain in place at all times on the bench. Once you open the bench up for use, the center section of the cover will detach by way of Velcro, and hang at a 90 degree angle from the top plank. The top and bottom planks will remain in tact functioning as a seat cushion. No more worries about storage, or attaching and detaching headaches!
Covers are constructed with a 1 3/8 inch closed cell foam, which is much denser than that of a traditional 2 inch pad. They are then covered in a heavy duty 18 oz vinyl. 9 and 12 ft covers are constructed as a one piece unit. The 15, 18, and 21 ft. units will be a two piece unit, attaching at the center with a Velcro flap.
